The staff at Camp Huston will feed us seven delicious meals in their dining hall, from breakfast on Friday through breakfast on Sunday. Thursday evening will be a potluck dinner in our Lodge.
At this time, SKG policy to require participants to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Should this change, we’ll let you know.
We are now taking $100.00 deposits for this retreat.
Unless the retreat is cancelled, your deposit is non-refundable. It cannot be applied to any other guild event or membership fee. If your plans change and you are unable to attend the retreat, you should be able to sell your spot to someone else and recoup your deposit that way. We will try to assist you in selling your spot, but cannot make any guarantees. Please email the Retreat Coordinator, as soon as possible, if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend.
If you would like to be placed on a waiting list (in case of cancellation) please email Barb S., Retreat Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Accommodations are usually two people to a room, unless you pay for a single room (book early to reserve your single room). In addition to the comfortable environment for the retreat, great hiking is available nearby at Wallace Falls. The retreat will be available to members and non-members as the event serves as outreach for the guild.
Barbara Eakin attended every Fall Fiber Retreat. She was an amazing woman, who gave of herself often and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Many retreat goers knew her and loved to hear her laugh.
Barbara passed away in January 2014 from injuries sustained in a serious car accident. In memory of her generous spirit, the guild has created a scholarship fund that will allow a single person (chosen by the SKG Board) who is experiencing family or financial hardship, to attend the fiber retreat without payment.
If you would like to donate to this fund, please click the Donate button below.
*To nominate someone for this scholarship, please email the SKG Board. All nominations will be taken into consideration and awarded anonymously by the SKG Board.
