Fall Fiber Retreat 13-16 October, 2022
Our annual Fabulous Fall Fiber Retreat is now full.
At this time we are only taking names for those who would be able to attend at the last minute in the event that an attendee has to drop out, and full payment would be required before attending. You would still have the option of arriving on either Thursday or Friday, but we can't at this time guarantee either a single or double room - that would be dependent on what type of room becomes available. Contact [email protected] for more information or to be placed on the waiting list.
The prices below are to let you know what to expect to pay should you be able to attend at the last minute.
Unless the retreat is cancelled, your deposit is non-refundable. It cannot be applied to any other guild event or membership fee. If your plans change and you are unable to attend the retreat, you should be able to sell your spot to someone else and recoup your deposit that way. We will try to assist you in selling your spot, but cannot make any guarantees. Please email the Retreat Coordinator, as soon as possible, if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend.
If you would like to be placed on a waiting list (in case of cancellation) please email Barb S., Retreat Coordinator at [email protected] .
Accommodations are usually two people to a room, unless you pay for a single room (book early to reserve your single room). In addition to the comfortable environment for the retreat, great hiking is available nearby at Wallace Falls. The retreat will be available to members and non-members as the event serves as outreach for the guild.
The guild created an award to honor our beloved members who have passed away. We celebrate their generous, giving spirits and love of the fiber arts by awarding a deserving member a scholarship to attend our annual Fall Fiber Retreat. The Board chooses the recipient based on their service and dedication to the guild. Please submit your nominee's name to the Board tell us why you nominate them.

Q: Where is Camp Huston?
A: Camp Huston is located in Goldbar, about a 25 minute drive from Snohomish, WA (~20 miles) down Hwy 2.
Q: What type of accommodations are there?
A: We will stay in the Paddock Lodge. It has sixteen heated rooms with two twin beds in each room. A restroom and shower serves every four rooms. This lodge has a huge meeting area with a sink, microwave and refrigerator for snacks, and a fireplace. Free Wi-Fi access. No restrictions on outside food or beverages.
Q: Do I have to knit on the retreat?
A: No! We have folks who lean towards other handwork joining us. This is about connecting and relaxing!
Q: How do I find out who my roommate is?
A: Roommates are not assigned. Individuals pair up by previous arrangement (between themselves) or the Retreat Coordinator will help you find a roommate upon your arrival at the retreat.
Q: Can I stop by and visit during the day or have a friend/family come by?
A: Due to limited physical space in the facility, we cannot have daytime visitors. If you wish to attend for part of the time, you must still pay for the two night weekend.
Q: I must eat gluten-free. Do I need to bring my own food?
A: Camp Huston can accommodate many dietary needs. Just let us know on the input form.
Q: What if I cannot attend Friday night, can I come for the rest of the weekend?
A: Yes! Unfortunately, there is no reduction in cost, but we’ll hold your bed. Just let us know in the comments section on the registration form.
Q: Will there be classes? Do I need to bring something specific for a project?
A: We may pull together some mini-demos, but your time is your own and you are not required to bring or do anything other than relax!
Q: Who is invited to reserve a space?
A: This retreat is open to the public and we invite everyone to pay a deposit and register as space allows. If you missed the initial sign-up phase, please send email to the Retreat Coordinator to be placed on the wait list.
Q: Can my significant other attend with me?
A: This is a crafter's weekend, therefore if your significant other knits, crochets, quilts, etc, they are welcome to attend with you. There is no gender restriction.
