FAQs for Fair Exhibitors
nGENERAL EXHIBITOR QUESTIONS
Q: My items aren't as good as my friends (I'm a beginner), why should I enter my item?
A: For the fun and pleasure of sharing your hard work with the public. Also all items are judged on their own merits and will not be compared to any other person's entry (except in the case of Special Award Ribbons). Each entry is awarded a point score and 1st - 6th Place ribbons will be awarded based on your score. You will also receive a helpful critique of the item (and your skill) from the judge, which will assist you in furthering your craft.

Q: My entry could fit in multiple categories, how do I decide which category?
A: Choose the category that you feel best fits your item. If the department clerk feels your entry is in error, they will correct it prior to display (and judging when possible). If your item contains more than 50% handspun yarn (which you spun yourself), it should be entered under Department R: Handspinning, Weaving & Basketry.

Q: Several individuals worked on this item, can we enter it as a group? as an individual?
A: No, at this time there is no category for group projects, except in Department R (Handspinning, Weaving & Basketry). All exhibits entered must have been crafted by the exhibitor making the entry.

Q: My item was finished more than two years ago, how can I still enter it?
A: Your item no longer qualifies for judging. You may however enter it in Department Q3's Heirloom Display and Story Category.

Q: My item won a premium (1st or 2nd place ribbon), when can I expect my money?
A: Warrants (checks) will be mailed to exhibitors no later than ( need updated information ). Missing warrants for premiums must be reported by ( need updated information ). Warrants will not be processed if the exhibitor's cash total is less than $5.00.
EXHIBIT ENTRY, DROP OFF, & PICKUP QUESTIONS
Q: Can my friend drop off my entries?
A: Yes, if you need to have a friend drop off your entry, you should complete your entry online and send the printed copy with the items.

Q: Can my friend pick up my entries?
A: Yes, please make sure that your friend has your claim tickets. Exhibits may not be released without valid claim tickets.

Q: Do I need to pay for parking when I am dropping off or picking up my entries?
A: No, exhibitors will be allowed to drive onto the fairgrounds on these days. Parking is available close to Building 500, please park only in designated parking areas, as there will be a lot of other vehicles needing access to the Fairgrounds.

Q: I missed the online entry deadline (missed including something on my online entry form), can I still enter items in the Fair?
A: Yes, bring the item on the appropriate drop off day/time. Clerks will be on hand to accept your entry.

Q: I missed the specified drop off day/time for my entries, can I still submit my item(s)?
A: No, entries are ONLY accepted during the days and times specified in the Exhibitor's Handbook. If you missed the deadline this year, please save the item(s) and submit them next year (unless your item will be more than two years old next year).

Q: Can I pick up my entry before the designated pick up time?
A: No, items will only be released on the designated Exhibit Release day/time.
