Spin In | Sunday, 31 August 2014; 11 am - 4 pm
Call Corky Savoie, Department Superintendent, (425.335.4904) by 12 August 2014, to receive a free admission and parking pass.
Join us for our 18th Annual Spin-In. Coffee and water will be provided. Please bring a snack to share and item to donate for door prizes. We'll have a day of spinning, knitting, crocheting, weaving, and making baskets. Bring your wheel, loom, needles, hook, wool and/or reed.
*NOTE: A 20 minute pass, which allows you to drive onto the fairgrounds to drop off your wheel and other items, may be picked up at the Green Gate. Once you have dropped off your items, please relocate your car to standard parking lots. Also there is a tram that runs through all of the parking lots, which will ferry you and your items to the closest gate, if preferred.
Sheep to Shawl | Saturday, 23 August 2014; 10 am - 12 pm
Valley Spinners Guild hosts the annual Sheep to Shawl Demo at Evergreens State Fair in Monroe. See a sheep sheared, and the wool carded, spun and woven by 20+ guild members to create a shawl straight from the sheep.
