Archaeologists working in the ancient city of Syedra, located on Turkey's Mediterranean coast near Alanya, have unearthed a remarkably well-preserved mosaic floor dating back 1,500 years. The mosaic, adorned with geometric and floral motifs, has captivated researchers not only for its artistry but also for two intriguing Greek inscriptions, one of which cheekily translates as: "May the envious burst with jealousy." The discovery was made during ongoing excavations led by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism as part of the "Heritage for the Future" project.
